A little About Your Business: “Close to Home Photography was created three years ago with the bulk of my work being in Seoul, South Korea, and exciting place to shoot. I love photographing the relationships between couples and families. Lifestyle photography is my passion, because I can truly capture the unique personalities of all parties.”

Your Passion for Photography: “When I first met my husband, I started assisting my father in law with his wedding photography business. Helping him meter light and carry his equipment allowed me to see the inner workings of the industry. I decided to take a stab at it and begin taking photos of my own family and friends. I suddenly realized how exciting and fulfilling it is to capture special moments for others. Life is so precious yet so fleeting, and I’ve realized that sometimes the only things we may have of our loved ones are the images they leave behind.”
One Photography Tip: “Try to pull your subjects away from the backdrop and use a lower f stop to get that wonderful, creamy bokeh.”
Advice for Others: “My advice to aspiring photographers is to take it slow. Spend some time assisting other photographers and shooting family and friends before taking on paid sessions. Too many people pick up DSLR’s these days and have businesses the next day. Make sure that you really spend time getting to know the craft in order to preserve the professionalism of the industry.”
A Little Something Personal About Jennifer: “I am a military spouse, mother of two beautiful children, who has a B.A in English and an MBA. I love to take photos, work out, and watch good tv.”
